Build Your Own High Tunnel Green House.  The high tunnel construction workshop will be an opportunity to take part in and learn to build a low input tunnel.  Participants will earn what materials are needed to build a high tunnel out of PVC pipe.  We will go through every stp of the building process and have a seable 12 by 20’ high tunnel by day’s end.  High tunnels allow for year round production of cool season crops without the use of supplement heat .  High tunnels also extend the growing season of heat lovin crops like tomatoes by 3-4 weeks.  That means that gardeners can be producing tomatoes by early June witout an enormous heat bill.
